non-owner auto insurance provider in Canada?

Does anyone know a good source for non-owner liability and collision insurance in Canada? Basically this covers a driver for rental cars as well as while driving someone else's car. I know that you can purchase it as an add-on to existing auto insurance, but is it possible to get if you do not own a car? Thanks

The agency that rents you a car should be able to provide you with an insurance policy.

If you want to buy an independant insurace, it will depend on where in canada you are. Some provinces have government insurance (British Columbia - I.C.B.C. for example) and some have private insurance (Alberta - Co-operaters insurance for example)

You might also be able to arrange it through a travel agency, or CAA.

How reliable is Erie Auto Insurance?

I'm a 17 year old boy living in maryland and i just got my car. its a black 1995 acura integra ls and im the ONLY licensed driver in my family so the insurance policy will have me as the primary driver.

I got a quote online from Erie and it said i can expect to pay $1200 - $2000 a year for insurance if i insure under minimum deductables. that sounds like a great deal but since its so cheap it sounds kinda fishy

if you have Erie auto insurance or worked for them or something, are they reliable? do they jack up the rates really high after an accident? Thanks!

health insurance benefits ontario
health questions. moving provinces what do I do about health cards, insurance etc?

I'm moving from Newfoundland to Ontario for a year work term. I own a house in Newfoundland with my Fiance and will be returning home after my work terms up to get married.

Do I need to give up my MPC ( Newfoundland health card) and apply for an Ontario health card?

Because I'm only on a work term I don't have any health benefits but I'm covered by my Fiance's insurance. Will that work in another province?

Last but not least does it matter what province your prescriptions are written in? Can my family doctor write me up one here and I take it with me when I move.

The reason I'm asking is I'm an amputee and I have hypothyroid. I have to take medication every day and I will likely over the course of my work term require repairs to my prosthetic. I don't want to be up there and have to pay an arm and a leg for medication ( let's face it I don't have any more to spare. )

your MCP card will be good for 3 months after you move or the expiery date on the card.
you need to apply for OHIP card as soon as you get there then reaply for an MCP card when you get back
