health insurance billing questions
Health Insurance question? Everything I have had done I'm getting fully billed for?

I started my job in August 2006. Starting in June 2007 I made my first doctors visit and had blood work. I recieved a reciept thing showing what was paid for, which was everything but my co-pay. Well now I'm suddenly getting a bill from collections for the full price of blood work from Quest Diagnostics.

Then in September at a different doctor I had a routine pap smear... and am getting a full bill now from Quest Diagnostics... then a few weeks later I had a colopsy done to test cells of my cervix.. and am getting the full bill for that, over $400 just for that!

I couldnt even sleep last night thinking of having to pay nearly $1000 for these 3 bills.... I dont understand, I gave EACH doctors office my insurance card to copy and everything.

Whats is going on? Why is my health insurance not paying for these things when they should?!?!?

I know I need to make some calls, but I'm stuck at work and cant until they are open later in the evening Monday.

Any advice? =(

You need to call your health insurance company and see what the problem is, why they aren't paying.

It COULD be that your employer switched plans, and you are turning in an OLD insurance card. Or, maybe diagnostic testing isn't covered. Or, maybe your employer didn't pay the health insurance bill. Who knows.

So call the number on the back of your card.

private health insurance government website
Can someone please spell out what the new health care bill entails?

Everyone is telling me conflicting things about what the health care bill which Congress passed says, like who is going to provide the health care (government/ private insurance), who is going to pay for the health care (gov't via taxpayers/ individuals), how it is going to work (public option/ not).

Can someone please link me to a non-biased website that just spells out what all this new bill includes and what didn't pass. I don't want anyone's interpretation of it or predictions of what will happen, just a straight synopsis of what the passed bill actually says.

(Make sure it is the final one which BOTH houses passed)

Thanks!

is your google broken?
