how can you find out the average property tax in new mexico?

Ive tried to google to no avail. I’m going to be possibly buying a home here and just want to know what to expect. I know what the mortgage and insurance might be but that’s my only question now.

Find the tax assessor’s office web site for the cities/counties you are considering. They will have the mil rate.

Can I have an american plated car in Canada?

My husband recently became permanent resident in Canada. He is american as well (for having dual citizenships laws in canada). He have a GMC envoy 2004 in the US and it is under american insurance and all that. He also is paying the bank a loan towards the car, so it is not all his just yet.
When he cross the border to get his permanent resident papers, they gave him a form to fill in, that is called Registrar of Imported Vehicles. He have to pay a fee, and get a recall letter from GMC, and then get an inspection on the car to meet canadian standards on the car.
My question, is after doing all that, can he keep his vehicle plated american? And keep his insurance from the US on it? Or does he have to change it to Canadian?
Since the car is not fully paid for (because of the bank’s loan)… Did you, or anyone you know, have kept their car plated american in Canada, undefinetly? Or is there a time limit?.. thanks :)

Since he is going to permanently reside in Canada the car will have to be registered in Canada—-tags and registration.
As for the insurance, it depends if the current company you have will extend it’s coverage to a Canada and a Canadian PR. Most companies will not cover someone who is no longer a resident of the US.\\\
Hint: make sure he brings a driving record with him if he intends to get insurance in Canada. If he can’t provide his past driving record he will be treated as a first time driver and the premiums will be sky high.
