health insurance jacksonville florida
Anyone from Jacksonville, Florida?

My family is moving to Jax the beginning of November, and I will have absolutely no health insurance when we get there, beside the very limited health care I have through the VA, and I desperately need dental work done, about $5,000 worth, to be exact, and I need it done SOON. I’ve been told there’s a dental college there that will do work for free, anyone know about that? I’m sure getting temporary health insurance from the county will take forever, and we don’t have any jobs lined up for us in Jax, so we will be low-income until we find employment. Anyone have any ideas?

Well…I found this list of Human Resources, etc. that seem somewhat promising to provide discounted dental care. http://www.doh.state.fl.us/Family/dental/resources/county/Duval.pdf But, you are right– an actual Dental School would be your best bet for satisfactory and affordable care. UF College of Dentistry in Jacksonville has good patient ratings. http://www.hscj.ufl.edu/dentistry/contact.asp , I would give that a try. I was a Dental student at one time, and we ran a very professional clinic and all of the patients were always thrilled with the work and pricing.

Transportation for disabled wheelchair users?

Hello guys!
Does anyone know of any transportation services for people with disabilities, such as myself (I’m a wheelchair user) in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia). I know there is ParaTransit, never used it though (I think they charge you and I will need to go to school and back home every day). I have Keystone Mercy Insurance. Maybe there are any other services I don’t know about.
Could anyone please suggest something.

Thank you!!!

Any service you use you will have to pay for. Paratransit is government subsidized and will be your least expensive option. All over the road fixed route transportation systems – that means buses – have to be wheelchair accessible. So you should be able to take paratransit to the closest regular bus stop and then take a regular bus. Paratransit is generally available when the nearest bus stop is more than one half mile away.

I got declined for auto insurance whats the best thing I can do ?

I live in ontario canada and got a quote over the internet, i wanted to insure the car the day i was gonna get it. so then i called TD insurance and asked them to insure me and i told them i never had any tickets in the past 3 years but they found a major driving offence in may 2007. i got caught driving with no licence at all. so then the insurance company found out and they said they can only insure new drivers with clean record. but the record was before i got my actual g1 and g2. I called a broker and it ended up to be 3 times more than i was quoted for TD.
whats the best thing I can do ?

You may have been simply denied for lying. The best thing you can do is shop for another policy and never, ever lie to an insurance company. Many companies have special high risk insurance that they can put you into. It’s more expensive but you may not have a choice.
