How should I go about getting insurance on a used car I just bought?

I just bought an used car from an auto auction which runs pretty well, and I was wondering where should I go to get insurance on the car, and how do I go about gettin the insurance on the car?

Call a local independent agent, and bring the paperwork to them.

On average, how much does car insurance cost for a 17 year old male?

Dear reader
I am a 17 year old male.
I am searching for car insurance once I get my driver's license
I will be required to pay for my own car insurance.
I want to get an average cost (monthly) for someone my age- regardless of the company
I am not sure what factors play into a policy's amount- however, if it does matter, I am a straight A student with a 4.2 GPA (scale of 4.0)- I have never been convicted, nor prosecuted for a felony or anything of that sort. To sum up, I am quite responsible for a male my age.
Please do not be rude in your responses
I appreciate your help
PS. the car that I would be driving is a Toyota Camry 2005 (all paid for). I also live in the state of MD

The data required to calculate the average is not collected by anyone so an answer cannot be given to your question.

How to Improve a Car Insurance Company's Offer?

Someone hits my car while I parked on the street, the lady hits 2 cars. My car value is 11,000 (my car is one way) and the other car value is 2,000. The lady's insurance only cover up to 10,000. So I only can get 84% of the 10,000 (so i got $8461)

How I ask for more money?
I cannot claim my own insurance, b/c insurance only cover if i hit someone's car.

No cover on my car.

If you haven't accepted (cashed the check) and you can demonstrate to their satisfaction that the value of your car is $11,000, you should be able to at least get the full $10,000. It's better than $8400 and easier than suing. If she was only carrying low, mimimum $10,000 liability limit and you did sue her and win, would she even be able to pay the judgement? Doesn't sound like she has deep pockets.

If you accepted the check, and signed a settlement agreement w/ the insurance carrier, you really can't do anything except sue her personally.
