Anyone on the east coast have Traveler's Auto Insurance?
They've quoted me a price almost $200.00 lower then my current rate- which was the cheapest I could find at the time! But no one's I know has even heard of the place. The website is travelers.com I believe. Is this legit and worth it?
Facts: 24, new driver, 05 neon, zip code 21234 (Baltimore, MD), 1 at fault accident, no moving violations, needs full coverage.
While getting quotes I used all the same numbers for deductibles, etc.
Geico: over $400
Nationwide: wouldn't even take
Progressive: $300
Travelers: $180
Wondering if anyone has any opinions on Traveler's? Good or bad? Thanks so much!
I used to be an agent in NJ & we had Travelers as one of our companies (independent agent) & I had my coverage there. They do have good rates and they are a good company. I had a claim with them & they paid promptly and fairly. Be sure you have more liability than the State minimum though. Since they are cheaper you can afford to do this. It doesn't cost much to increase, much less than you would expect.
Also, just so you know they are the very FIRST insurance company to EVER write an auto policy so they have been around a good LONG time.
