best health insurance in florida
Need suggestions on insurance carriers for a retiree.?

Good Day, I am currently helping my elderly family member change her insurance carrier during open season for annuitants of federal employee health benefits. The form is confusing and has language I don't quite understand. What is the difference between basic, standard and high because I see that each carrier gives you a choice. She is in generally good health, just old age stuff and would like to not have to pay a co-pay or in the least have it be very small. She is using medicare in conjunction with her current insurance and lives in South Florida. I just want to make sure that she gets the best coverage for the least amount of money taken out of her monthly annuity payment. Thanks in Advance!

You'll need to talk with the people issuing the policy. Policies can vary depending on the government entity from which she retired.

Generally, the difference between the levels would be the amount of coverage. Most people in good health would probably get the standard because one never knows if they'll get sick next year and need something better than the basic.
