What is the cost of Medical Insurance for an 18 year old?

I am a 17 year old senior in St. Louis, Mo. I plan to move out of my parents house promptly after the school year is over. My boyfriend and I have been doing a lot of research on apartments and creating a budget. My biggest concern though, is medical insurance.. At your age, unless you have a lot of illness or plan to have a baby right away – you should consider a “HSA” (health savings account).
It will have a higher deductible but the benefits cover – q-tips, cotton balls, dental, vision and the account just keeps building up with interest…. it is really something to consider.
