I am looking for a decent cheap quote for car insurance, I'm 18, male and my car is a 2001 Ford Fiesta Flight 3 Door 1.3L. I'm being quoted around £3000 upwards, this is my first car as ive only just passed my test on friday 6th january 2012. please give me some help, thanks.

I totally agree with the above answers.

On that car with your experience, age, gender and where you live etc... £3000 is a cheap premium. For cheap car insurance you've gotta go for something old, tatty and not a popular first car. However, you're still probably looking at £1500 upwards for even the cheapest quote!

As for buying online, I always read the small print and most smaller companies are underwritten by a big one anyway, so they aren't a scam. Well, I say that, all insurance is a scam really based on what they actually pay out compared to what they charge, but you get what I mean

Hi, Im 22 year old male from Manchester UK, Have held a full clean licence for over 4 years now, I need a car to travel to work. I have tried to find a cheap quote but my car insurance is over £3000. Just wondering does any one know of any companies that could provide me with a cheaper car insurance quote? I have tried all the insurance comparision websites. Any other suggestions? May be buy a brand new car which has free insurance? But dont know who does it now apart from peugeot where you have to be over 25. Any help will be greatly appericiated.

If you've no NCB that's about what you'll have to pay. You don't say what kind of car you're trying to insure, so maybe you could get a lower group one, but generally young drivers pay thousands for car insurance.

my 7 year old nephew was playing on my ipod, and he saw an ad for a free car insurance quote. so he decided to fill out completely false info for a quote, just a quote he ddnt buy far insurance. i want to know if its bad or are we ok?

haha its all good man, if the see its f alse info, they click delete. Trust me if the tried to track down every person that givs false info then the would need to find a shit load of people.

I have been licensed in the U.S. for only 3 months, but I have been riding motorcycles for over 20 years outside the country. I am in the process of buying an expensive superbike, but the insurance quotes from major companies are way, way, way to high for my liking. What are the alternative methods?

Get a gsxr 750.Here in the U.S. the 750 is the cut off line to CHEAPER insurance.There will be no cheap insurance for a sportbike,but 750 or under will not break the bank.There are no other alternatives than to go with the lower cc bike.And for the guy who said AAA-they will not insure sportbikes I have been a member since 1969 and I have to go to an independent to get my bike insured.

Im 17 and i live in London.
I just go my Licence and i have a 2k budget for a car.
And my dad said he is going to pay for insurance as long as it is a max of 3k

So far the cheapest quote i got was 5k for a VW Polo 1.4L Petrol.

I want a diesel car because, my dad said he will pay for it.

So need help deciding what car to get, and how to get insurance up to 3k

i am 23 no NCB held full uk licence for 2 year 8 months and i am a hire car driver so have alot of driver experience ie drive average of 10 vehicles a day from small cars to luxury 4x4s and vans
got a quote for a v-reg (1999) Peugeot 206 1.9 L Diesel 5 door for £1330.76 third party fire and theft is this a good quote or will i be able to get it down. i really want to buy this car so don't want to hear things like try a smaller engine etc thanks

it's not an unreasonable quote if you try for fully comp it could be cheaper if you were prepared to get a smaller engined size car you could knock off a few hundred pounds

I would be transporting the car from Boston, MA to Long Beach, CA by plane. I tried looking at websites for free quotes, but they wanted my name and email and number, and i don't want to give all the info. I just want an estimate.

You want to fly the car across country ?? You'll have to charter a plane to do that, & I think it's like 4,000 to get in the door. Trucking in an enclosed trailer is under a grand....

With increasing premiums i'd be tempted to splash out £200 on one of these for a cheaper insurance quote!

There aren't any. The ones that do such insurance also provide the cameras and at the moment I believe it is only available for trucks and buses.
